game was pretty dead on arrival 2k at first, then dropped dead till 28, where it got 800 players, now dropping and dropping
+ lack of anti cheat which allows cheaters to speed hack and rapid fire etc
+ repetitive gameplay
+ non existent communication
+ no real support from capcom
+ no reason to play after a few games
Don't worry about Steam Charts, all the players are on console and very active.
if there is crossplay then good but if there is not, well then the game is dead on pc at least
edit: just launched it, yup there is crossplay but still struggle to find a full match
got thrown in a 4 plp match
Also only seems to be sweat lords left. Lowest MMR I saw last time I was playing was 1900ish.
500k playing at launch is insane in comparison to the current
160k that played at least once two weeks now. It's 3x less then resistance.
https://game.capcom.com/residentevil/en/reversestats.html
And it's dropping more and more. Resistance at least managed to subtain his playerbase for like 1 month or two. He died because time pirate nicky and hackers where on a rampage.
At least both games have similitudes.
- There's community managers but none of them is active / or are in contact with the community.
- No anti-cheat for both games
- No dedicated servers for both games but, RE:Verse have regional matchmaking it's better but useless on a dead game at launch.
Now for RE:Verse only
- Very Very low content (Resistance had 3 maps , 6 survivors , 4 masterminds and a ton of build customization)
- Revamped versus mode from RE5 (Current game is versus but with creatures) everyone hated versus but everyone like mercenaries.
- No incentive to play
- More paid content then content itself
In other words Resistance is superior both in content and in popularity. However both games will end-up similar. Because the devs and Editor in this case (Capcom) will abandon the game and will not fight for it. Just like resistance.
But i least i will sleep better at night that the next game will have a better chance to be similar to resistance then RE:verse and Umbrella corps.
