Problem linking Steam to Capcom ID

Last year I deleted my Capcom ID account (I don't even remember why I did that, I think it might have been because I hated the UI). I had linked my Steam account to that Capcom ID. Today I created a new Capcom ID using the same email as my old account, but every time I try to link Steam to this account a message pops up saying that my Steam account is already linked to a different Capcom ID. Can anyone help me? Will I be able to play the game?

I’m not sure , CAPCOM did this to avoid cheaters from just making new accounts over and over. If you want to play you have to buy the game again to get re verse.

The cheating thing makes sense. I contacted Capcom's support hoping they can help me, I never delete accounts but for some reason I stupidly deleted Capcom ID. Hopefully their support can help me.

I also had similar problem but for me it was unlinking PSN and CID (Capcom ID). I got it back by making a query for Capcom in their website and filled required info they needed via emails. CID is pretty annoying in that regard that it's one way road and any deletion or unlinking is gonna be problematic in the future.

They are able to delete that link but It took me 1,5 years to get my PSN <-> CID link back. First attempts ended by them saying "nothing can be done".

I totally forgot to respond to this, but Capcom actually solved the issue in less than 72 hours, so I guess I got pretty lucky lol.

lol. i had this issue on release day took me a few days to relink steam. because i deleted a capcom account previously and it confused steam linkup. had to also go through capcom support.

Yeah I had to do the same thing, thankfully I solved the issue.

I have the same problem with linking my acc. And the guy at support keeps asking for a screenshot of my steam account that is unable to be linked. I tried to send him a few screenshot of my account and asked him if he can be more specific, but he just ignores me and keeps sending the same email and asking for the screenshot. Does anyone know what he means by it.

If I remember correctly I used a site called steamid.pro to find all of my account information and I took a screenshot of the page showing my info. After that they fixed the issue.

They basically asked me to send them my Steam and Capcom ID info (email, steam id etc.) and they ended up unlinking my Steam account to my original Capcom ID. I'm surprised that they haven't responded yet, they fixed my problem in less than 72 hours.

I used steamid.pro to know my detailed steam info
