activation codes not workign for me... HELP

at one point i had flat out ultimate carnage medal of honor fuel all installed and when i got a virus i had to write my hard drive to all 0's when i reinstalled steam i had to reinstall all my games. and the ones i mentioned. there activati9on codes will not work. im about ready to ask for a refund due to the fact that no matter how far i get i nthe game i have to restart fro mthe begining... its getting old iv lost 3-4 maybe even 5 game due to activation code not freaking working... any information regarding the subject wo9uld be greatly appriciated

You need to log in to Windows Live. If you haven't done so install Games for Windows Marketplace, you can find it on xbox.com or Microsoft.com with any search engine. Then use the gamer tag / microsoft account you originally used to activate to sign in to xbox.com - it might prompt you to accept the current T&A, if you don't do that first, Games for Windows Marketplace will claim your password is wrong at login.
Since you activated the game before it's already linked with your Microsoft account and you cannot activate it again. You need to use the account you used before.

Hi, I had the same sort of problem and this is what I did and it worked for me.

1. Click on games and then view games libaray.
2. Right click on ' Flatout Ultimate carnage.
3. On the drop down menu left click on Properties.
4. Click on Local files and then click on Browse local files.
5.Right click on Launcher and then left click on Properties.
6. Then click on ' Compatibiltity'.
7. Tick the box in 'Run this program in compatibilty mode and choose your windows operating sytem by clicking on it.
8.THen tick box to 'Run this program as administrator'
9. Then finally click apply and then OK.

Its not as bad to do as it sounds. JUst take your time. It worked for so hopefully will work for you and others if all else as failed. Let me know if it works and I can do a guide.

If I was was you I'd contact Steam support for the invalid product key problem.

iv been trying its rather annoying

i requested a refund. should i buy it again in hhopes the key will work or should i just buy a new game?

This worked for me no issue, Thank you so much!!
However you should clarify to right click on "LIveUpdateLauncher" and not "launcher" to avoid any confusion since there are two applications with that name.
