FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage - Invalid CD Key

So... I can play the game just fine, until I want to play online with friends. Then, it refuses to sign in and says that my cd key is invalid. This is the key that came with the game when I bought it from Steam... how do I fix this issue?

flatout didnt work for me neither in the beginning because of gfwl but now if u make a live account it shud work

I've had a live account for years. It's GFWL that's having the issue with the cd key...

i had something similiar before with bulletstorm... i created a new account and i was confused because it gave me some random name i thought i activated it on a strange account with same name but gfwl is just funny and gives out random nicks before u change it


tl;dr:
- can u log any gfwl OR(!) LIVE account?
- can u create a new live.com account?

gfwl got shut down, try to create a offline user then you dont have to enter a key.

.... If you read the comment that I started with, the only time it is an issue is when I try to play ONLINE with my friends. An OFFLINE profile doesn't allow you to do that. Also, out of my circle of friends that have this game, it is only me that has this issue, and it just started randomly. Nothing to do with GFWL being shut down. The servers are still there...

It's not possible to play FlatOut online anymore. Games for Windows Live has been shut down. Without their master server and without Direct IP, there won't be a possibility to play it online.

1) It is, my friends do it all the time. The only reason I can't is, AS I HAVE MENTIONED BEFORE, my CD key is no longer valid.

2) GFWL is NOT shut down. a) It is the same support network as XBL, and 2) http://www.gamespot.com/articles/microsoft-says-it-s-not-shutting-down-games-for-windows-live/1100-6420654/

3) I wanted to know about the CD key issue, and that's all. As it says on my original post as well as this thread's title.

That's all I'm going to say on this topic. Anyone else that tries to tell me it doesn't work because GFWL is shut down, well... read above.

Same issue here, CD is not valid. GFWL account is fine, no probs there. Just the CD key won't go through.

Yeah, I went to the tech support and filed my issue with them. Took them 4 weeks, but they finally came back to me and asked what my cd key was. That was 5 weeks ago now, and I still haven't heard anything from them again... :(
