level 50 now... to grind or not to grind?

i wanna play the game legit for my first run, but i dont mind takin a shortcut here n there.

my main issue is this: i wanna grind up some jobs for my team both for their stat bonuses n perma skills... however, i dont wanna get too overpowered, i jus wanna grind 2 or 3 jobs each.

i already grinded for saeko... got the fire spell from night queen n the ice spell from hostess.. so i think im good to keep her idol for the long haul.

however i wanna grind some fortune teller for namba n maybe another job or 2 for other guys.

theres a mod on nexus to summon a vagabond... one version is level 30 which drops around 12k exp a pop, n another version for 1 mil exp a pop.

i figure the one mil exp vagabond will be too much n make me overpowered(i wouldnt wanna grind to level 99 til after i beat the story in post game)... but will the other version for 12k a pop overpower me, or simply let me get my jobs leveled up?

any advice is appreciated.

those mods can help but at level 50 already the 12k a pop will still be stupidly slow, i was at around level 60 after chapter 12 and by the time i fought the final boss i was around 75-80, and it was STILL difficult, so dont worry too much about the fear of being overpowered, its still a turn based game and therefore theres always that rng factor into play, id say grind sotenbori dungeon til you reach level 60 then continue the story, the rest of the exp will come will bosses etc

well my only concern is i wanna rank up jobs fast... but i dont wanna be too overpowered.

so my overall level wont get raised that much? thats actually pretty good news if tru. i jus wanna rank up a few jobs for their abilities n stats.

jobs have job exp boost accessory you can get. they stack with each other as well. i dont remember where all of them are but there's a hidden shop in the far bottom left of the main map that has some. you need to have had ichiban be a foreman at least once to be able to get at it.

yea i started to use that standard vagabond mod n after u get to rank 17 or so in a job it rly slows down... which i guess aint that bad since i only wanted to get a few jobs to around level 20 for now anyway.... i didnt wanna level up my actual levels too much so this is workin ok. i mite download the 1 mil vagabond version to test it tho.


i do need to hunt down those job xp items tho. i found that hidden shop but i didnt think i needed to buy anythin from there... gonna go check it out now.

also unlocked the poker place, so theres 2 items i can get there. not interested in those jobs for now but eventually itll be good to get em.

my jobs were around 70-80 when i did the final boss, it was still pretty hard, if you are job level below 50 then youll want to level it up asap

well, wit no spoilers, how far away am i from the end? i think im in chapter 13... arakawa san jus died n im supposed to go beat up kume so he can try to get us to meet wit aoki.

you still have a few more chapters left, youll know when its the final chapter because it will be chapter finale, and youll be told very clearly before the final boss, so you have ample time to save and do any other things to prepare
