Apologies in advance for my complete ignorance regarding the Japanese dialect, but can anyone clarify what a few of your party members are saying during combat? Nanba especially before his Pigeon Raid attack.

What you are referencing is probably "totte oki".

That could be localized to something like "keep it" or "take it".

I didn’t even know the game had Japanese VA like the other installments since I think it’s set to default English. With English voice acting Nanba says “How about this” when using pigeons so I’m assuming the Japanese voice translates roughly to something similar

Heheh. Your post reminded me of how much I love the Japanese battle cries in this game.
Especially Nanba's as a guitarist.
