Steam deck gamepad not working

I just bought Yakuza and when I want to play it, it seems the game doesnt detect the inputs of the gamepad of steam deck (when loading it says that is using the steam deck gamepad layout), when I connect an external controller (xbox one) it works without any issue, I tried to fix this by re installing the game and by searching in forums, but I dont see any one else having this issue,

I had the same issue and fixed it as followed:

> Start the game

> Steam button

> Controller Settings

> Controller Settings again

> To the right of where it says "Controller Button Layout"

> Reorder Controller to Controller Number 1

If that doesn't work, then try setting your controller template to the "Gamepad with Joystick" template.

And if that doesn't work then give your Steam Deck to me and I will eat it in front of you to gain it's courage and show all other Steam Decks that they shouldn't be so difficult.

I was having the same problem I reseted my system and the controller just started working. Hope this helps you.
