I'm guessing I'd have to hex edit the save but I tried opening the decrypted save in an hex editor and saw no obvious differences between the GOG save and a "fresh" steam save when it comes to version number.
I can't figure out how to use the python script you linked.
In case the game updates, just start a new save file and decrypt it and find the revision number. Also, make sure the version numbers match at the top. After you've done this save your JSON file and drag + drop it into the encrypter tool. This will produce your save file to use.
