Team for true millenium tower?

I'll be doing a ng+ on legend difficulty in order to reach 99 instead of grinding in the sewers, my main goal is to beat the tower. Which is the go-to team to battle against amon? And what jobs should they be using?

so i used ichiban (breakdancer - although you can use hero with fully upgraded bat too)/ saeko (idol - the healer) joon gi han (hitman) and zhao (gangster)
but make sure you grind the dragon kart and buy a bunch of defence buffs which are permanent

I'd recommend Ichiban (Hero), Saeko (Idol), Adachi (Enforcer) and Zhao (Gangster), with each of them level 99 and level 99 in their class. Then also give the guys and Saeko some extra skills. There's a pretty decent guide that will help you out quite a lot.

I think the strangest part is people recommending zhao gangster for some reason. Most party makeup I agree but I would think most would take namba(hobo,hostess,forunteller) since magic is important and gangster just has blade moves.

Yes, originally Zhao only has blade moves and blunt, but with host and fortuneteller Zhao becomes just like Nanba, but with great attack, magical attack and higher HP and defense. It's essentially a much healthier and tankier Nanba. That and his Essence of Ladder Acrobatics is a very hard hitting move.

So, i've beaten the game once, i'm currently at chapter 6 on legend difficulty, and i have yet to reach job level 40 with any character.. Where do i grind to 99 here? I did some grinding on the hobos on kamurocho dungeon but it was taking a while

kamuro dungeon, invested vagabond farming

Yeah, i was farming him for a while, i hope he gives me more job exp when i reach that part on the legend difficulty, because it was painful before

if i remember its not too much extra but i cant confirm since i wont play the game on legendary, that said there might be a mod for xp grinding which should make it easier on nexusmods

You already have a second Healer. Zhao is just there for raw damage alongside Adachi. Your second Healer is Ichiban, who pretty much does everything in terms of support.

Wow, nexus mod helped me a lot, i found a lvl 99 save file with all jobs at max, but gears wasn't maxed, even then i had people die against amon, and i would have still lost if i didn't have that buff that gives extra life on ichiban. But yeah, i'm satisfied now, thanks for the tip

I know, but i just wanted to skip the busywork, i was already 76 hours into the game (skipping all cutscenes) and on my second playthrough (second one being on legend, mostly), done every sidequest, got all poundmates, the only thing left for me was the grinding and doing the tower.

Now i'm moving on to Nioh 2 and later Dark souls remastered - DS2, i was wanting to do these for a long time

I found it easier (and less boring) to lvl characters on legend difficulty by just running up and down the street behind the can quest parking lot. Averages around 100,000 xp per battle but you can finish a lot of those battles in one or two turns. It's might not be as much xp as the vagabond in the sewers but you can crank out a lot of battles and there's no down time. The mobs just keep spawning on that street, there's no running back and forth to reset the dungeon and every time a character hits lvl 100, you're right next to hello work to swap their job over.
