There're some spin-off game in the series like Judgment / Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon Ishin / Kenzan / Dead Soul
Yakuza: like a dragon is almost a passing of the torch from the name yakuza to like a dragon, now its called like a dragon, imma still call it yakuza though but the translation is on par with jpn now - also the yakuza kinda arent even a thing after 7 so it makes more sense storywise
It also reflects the game’s blend of gritty realism and fantastical elements, much like a dragon
Kiryu is also named The Dragon of Dojima.
I think the title is a metaphor for the characters overcoming strong adversity through sheer will power.
