Can i travel back to other areas?
Im in chapter 12 and it seems like i have to go to an other city now but can i go back to the first one at any time? or should i finish all sidequests and everything now because i cant come back?

its all upto you, once you get to sotenbori you can travel to ijincho too, the sotenbori battle area level 26-30 is the best at this moment for xp grinding

Yes you can travel back to previous cities via taxi.
