Personally I'd recommend starting with 0 and working your way through the series. They're (mostly) all worth playing and you really get to appreciate the building overarching lore of the series as you go, seeing how events that happened 5 or 6 games ago affect the plot of the later games. You don't NEED to play the others to understand 7's plot, and on the surface it's pretty straightforward, but a having the knowledge of the previous games stories lets you appreciate some of the more nuanced plot points and add just that much more depth.
1. The mouse control was abysmal. Walking around, and trying to look to the side with the camera felt sticky and horrible. Clearly made for consoles, this.
2. The amount of frequent and lengthy cutscenes in the three first hours. This isn't a game, it's a movie.
2nd. The entire series is like that even like a dragon. But it opens up as you progress, curious what got you interested to try either game or the series without knowing this?
1. I gave it a shot. A game released on PC should support proper M+KB control. But now I know for myself.
2. I can stomach some cutscenes, like in The Witcher 3 or Dying Light. But this was too much, even for me. I felt interrupted every other minute, and was forced to watch clips that were over ten minutes long each time. It's a matter of taste, I suppose, but when I want to play a game, I want to PLAY more than WATCH.
2.To repeat all the Yakuza games are like this at the start, in order to establish characters, setting, some tutorials etc. I'm going to assume you never reached the first long battle. Yakuza 0 has tons of things on offer even side stuff that'll have a small story attached with talking. If you can't handle that I guess find another game series, since the game isn't all about constant brawling. Unless you expected something else out of the series.
