Gaiden is just a small game that'll bridge the gap between 7 and 8. And 8 is gonna have 2 protagonists. Kiryu and Kasuga. Also, no prizes for guessing what kinda combat system 8 is gonna have.
It also costs less than "main" titles, so yeah, turn based is here to stay and that's a good thing. Like a Dragon was the best of the series.
