All games on PC are optimized for it.
it's only logical. Since it's supported (and generally IMHO one of the best controllers made in a long time) just use it.
The only way to get PS buttons is with a mod, OP.
I use a XBox controller but never memorized the XBox button layout. So I change them (mostly with mods) to PS buttons.
Probably has to do with Steam Inputs.

Disable Steam Controller Overlay.

You could also download a mod.

Or I think Yakuza: Like a Dragon also has the option to change prompts in the menu. Microsoft appears to have a version without the PS symbols, most likely because they do not want any Sony branding on their platform.

If a controller is basically like the default, I see no reason to see it as 'not optimized'. most games on PC almost kind of expect you to be using a microsoft controller if you use one.
