also from the looks of it his wounds doesn't look too deep and he only stabbed once (unlike when Nishiki stabbed Matsuhige multiple times) and didn't drop lot of blood.

the last scene where Kasuga holds Masato in his arm was parallel of when Masumi did the same to baby Masato desperatly tried to save his life so i expect Ichiban do the same to Masato this time. i think he still alive somewhere with new identity and unrecognizable. starting from the bottom just like he said he would do and probably will return in LAD 8

I mean we have certain bartender suvive from barrage of bullet and certain weapon seller survive from clear headshot. so Masato survive stab wounds wouldn't be suprising

He's dead. The reason is that he was gravely injured in a public space. That means that emergency services didn't make it in time and there's tons of footage of his death on Instagram and Facebook.

Jokes aside, if Masato is alive RGG need new writers. Someone dying for dramatic effect and then not being dead is the worst.

dying to a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stab wound to the stomach with a rinky dink pocket knife to some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nobody cornball cuck when there are characters who survived falling off skyscrapers, being aired out by minigun fire, direct headshots at angles that shouldve blown half their head off, etc is actually the dumbest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing imaginable. Low key might just skip y8 and skim the story or wait for a big sale cause i did not slog through all that for one of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ characters in the game to kill the main antagonist with a knife that looks like its at most 3 inches long. To the stomach. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stomach. at the spot he hit, there was no artery, no meaningfully lethal organ, NOTHING he couldve hit that made sense for Arakawa to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die to. ♥♥♥♥ tier death.
