Lmao why did you buy turn based combat if you hate it? change the combat require to change the entire game which is why the mod above only playable on the prologue where there's only one on one fight. once there's party member and more enemy joins in it'll broke the game compeletly

at least we're getting ishin and the kiryu spinoff + judgment on pc, so at least they're not fully dedicated to destroying the series like I originally feared lol. just gonna have to rely on mods and spinoffs for the real yakuza experience from now on I guess.

I find the turn based combat fun, but I do miss the awesome feeling I get after beating down 300 dudes and seeing Kiryu's scowl at the end. I hope that Yakuza 8, which will have both Kiryu and Kasuga, will have the Kiryu sections use the melee combat and Kasuga can keep his turn based stuff.

Why not both?

I enjoy both Turn Based and Real Time combat, tbh they can both get tiresome so mixing the styles could be interesting. I'm not sure how they'd handle collaborative encounters. Maybe they could do a character shifting dynamic i.e you approach a collab fight in control of Ichiban it's Turn Based, likewise it's Real Time with Kiryu.
