Kaoru in RGG8? (SPOILERS)

Do you think she might return one day? In RGG3 it starts at the end of RGG2, they're in the cemetery and Kaoru says she'll go to USA, but one day their paths might cross again. She never came back, which is a pity because many people like her and Kiryu never had other relevant romances.

If I could choose, she'd return with Kiryu's teenage son, born in 2007, who she never told him about because, after losing her family and checking that Kiryu's life was still dangerous she decided to hide the kid for safety. After Kiryu's supposed death in RGG6, maybe she could contact Haruka and then, when checking on Haruka from a distance, Kiryu would see both visiting his grave.

Well, it's alright if she never returns, but that's just a suggestion, a way to bring a popular character back and surprise the players. I'll trust the author's talent.

No she won't because their whole break up is a result of the mistake the developers did when they decided to keep Kiryu as the main character.
Oh yes they may never admit it but it's clear to me that the 3rd game was ment to have a new lead, which perfectly explains why it's so nonsensical. Like Kiryu moving to Okinawa to start an orphanage, instead of taking over the orphanage he himself grew up in.
But something spooked them and they decided to keep him and as a result Y3 is the worst in the series. Because there is just so much you can do with one character.
Why do GTA games hold up to this day? Because they keep changing lead characters, as a result they keep the format fresh and open to new stories and ideas.

You know Indiana Jones and James Bond? Almost every sequel has the same guy but a different woman. I thought RGG would be like that, then Kaoru was in RGG3 and I thought "Oh! Cool! She's back!", then she said bye and I was like "WTF?". I still thought she's return at some part of the game, but nah... New directors do mess things up. (I still think she could return though, just like Marion from Indy 1 returned in Indy 4)

About Kiryu himself, he's become too likeable to go away now. Ichiban is okay, but not enough to hold the RGG legacy by himself. With everything that's happened, I'm glad Kiryu will be back in RGG Gaiden and 8.

I get what you're saying but I think "to this day" is not the best wording when there hasn't been a new GTA in three console generations.

No she won't return. she already move on to US and she already found boyfriend there the last time we heard anything from her. and why would she have Kiryu's son? Kiryu is known as eternal virgin lol.

and it make no sense anyway for Kaoru to have Kiryu's child. there's only few days gap from they making out until she got transfered. and don't forget Kiryu got shoot in Y2 ending so he need time to recover and of course Haruka will be with him in the hospital. where Kiryu even had time to bang Kaoru in that case?

If anything Mayumi from Yakuza 5 had more chance to have Kiryu's children than Kaoru since she live with kiryu just two of them for months

Kiryu-chan is not virgin! And, dude, Kiryu was shot in Yakuza 0 and fought guys with Nishiki just hours later. And he'd just need a few minutes to bang Kaoru. o_O' I know her return is very unlikely, but I had to mention the possibility, she's popular. Marion from Indiana Jones 1 returned in Indy 4 with a son, so why not Yakuza? ¬_¬'

Yes Kiryu-chan is virgin if you don't count the cabaret club thing since it's not canon anyway. i remember the director himself confirmed that Kiryu is still virgin

Nah, they joke about their own characters. In Yakuza 0 Kiryu is only 20 and he already speaks as someone who isn't virgin. About Kaoru, if she ever returns for any reason I'll be happy. But I know it's unlikely.

lol Dude, if you see that 50 years old Singaporean guy that looks 25 it's not so unrealistic that Kiryu and Majima at their age still kick ass and look like 40. But I really wish Kiryu had a son to be new protagonist in the next years, although it's unlikely.
