Eco-Points?

Howdy,

New to Like a Dragon (and the Yakuza franchise as well). I'm in chapter 3 and just S-Rank all 3 courses for the Can Quest. It's fairly easy and got me 25k eco-points. I'm thinking of mastering this game's ranking system and then move on, but curious if there are items that I should grab while I'm at it. It seems some items are far too expensive to justify grinding the mini-game, but maybe 1 item is.

Later on i nthe game you'll unlock the ability to craft weapons, armor, but more importantly, strengthen weapons. Some weapons, one for each class, can be upgraded into ultimate versions but they require another weapon for the process, one of these weapons is the Elegant Pouch which is behind the can quest. You can grind that for OR near the end of the game, you'll gain access to a store that has these weapons for the fusion process for 10 mil each. There is also the Vintage Guitar which itself is the main weapon to strengthen up for a different job.
There are a handful of weapons that require some bugs for strengthening, it's a little weird but if you would rather do that than ran around looking for bugs, that's an option.
Can Quest is also the only place where you can get Tissues, which is later used for some side quest stuff and you need a good amount of them to complete them all.
Finally, there are some of the treasure CD stuff you can play at a location you unlock soon-ish.

As per your recommendation, I grinded the mini game a bit more to get the Elegant Pouch (it became available once I got King rank) and 1x of the low cost armors/weapons (aside the pouch, they were all pretty cheap). I'll take a break before replaying the game for tissues though; while they are cheap, I feel like I need to do other things than be Yukohama's garbage collector XD
