Save Transfers

A friend let me use his Xbox game pass acct to play this game and I got addicted to it really quickly. Today I bought the game on steam and I have been having difficulties trying to transfer the save data for about 3 hours now. Should I just give up because it's impossible to do it? I'm already on chapter 12 and I've put in more than 30 hours at this point.

Unless the game pass version uses something different or has some kind of protection, it should be simple. You can simply replace a .sav file in one of the save0XX folders in the Roaming\Sega\YakuzaLikeADragon\XXXXXXXX\directory and load the file.

What exactly are the difficulties? Maybe you're getting the Steam Cloud involved? I don't know but I've always backed up my save files for Yakuza games and it hasn't caused me any problems. You don't need to restart the game etc. and you can just replace the file and load it.

What I've been confused on is the 2 files in my xbox save file (C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Packages\SEGAofAmericaInc.Yazawa_s751p9cej88mt\SystemAppData\wgs\000901F407BB951A_0000000000000000000000006AC69AE7\95DD8891BB2D432F9ADDB8715D2C0B12). Am I supposed to move both of them and leave the container file there? Do I also rename them as .sav files then as well?
