Is this game well optimized?
Kiwami 2 runs like a hog

are you running this on a gaming laptop? I'm finding that it's trying to use the intel gpu instead of my nvidia one.

Nvidia control panel, 3d settings, set Yakuza to use dedicated gpu.

Game seems to run similar to RDR2 for me.

I feel like the game requires more power from your PC than it honestly deserves, but it's not too bad. Having a RTX 3080 kinda helps :steammocking:

there are a few areas in the game where the fps seems to tank, don't know why because it's not exactly a cutting edge game, probably badly optimized or denuvo or both

Hard to say without knowing your specs if you have issues with Kiwami 2. (7 runs perfectly for me, while I do have very slight, barely noticable microstutter in Kiwami 2 while running around Kamurocho, but I also feel like overall visuals and NPC density are higher in Kiwami 2 than in 7, so not sure if 7 is actually better optimized or it just runs better because of that.)

For what it's worth, all the minigames in 7 are running at high framerates while in Kiwami 2 some of them are locked at 30fps because they break otherwise.

It's not bad, but it could be better. I'm playing at 3440X1440 with an RTX 3080 and the game dips into the 80 fps range every now and then, but its usually around 90-120 fps.

I have played 100+ enjoyable hours with a modest GTX 1050 ti (4gb), so yours should be fine if we are talking about GPUs alone.

Kiwami 2 ran much better in my case, it was constant 60fps.

I had to limit LAD to 30fps because it didn't run too well and micro stutters were driving me insane. Visuals aren't as good as Kiwami 2 either, so I wonder what happened here. It could be denuvo messing with my performance, but idk.

I am running this game with a R9 380 GPU @1080p, no problem. Sure not at 60 fps.. but its not a shooter, so I can live with 30-40fps.
