Is it just me or is the UFO catcher-minigame exponentially harder, compared to the previous games?
As the title asks, did they massively increase the difficulty of the UFO catcher-minigame for this installment? I never really had any issues getting stuff out of these things in Zero, kiwami 1 or 2. Meanwhile in this game, I've been stuck on the first Part-time-hero prize delivery quest for an entire hour now. The claw just feels completely ineffective and incapable of actually grabbing anything. Even when I manage to successfully pick something up, the claw eventually just lets go, causing the toy to roll back to the spot where I picked it up from....
I know that it's entirely possible that I've just gotten rusty between the games, but I just can't help but feel like there's been some sort of change.

Edit: I did a couple of more attempts, and had something really interesting happen: Upon successfully lifting one of the toys, the toy suddenly got launched backwards into the back corner of the box as if it got hit by some outside force. I don't know if this is just the physics engine being weird, or if the minigame is legitimately rigged.

And that's because of the way the dragon engine handles physics like sh*t.

If anyone ever wondered why almost all the physics based game like Pool and bowling dissapeared with the dragon engine games and never came back (hell, the Ufo was even absent in Yakuza 6) now you understand why. Because the game can't handle mini games physics as well as the olders games.

This engine is like one step forward for two step backward.

I feel entirely differently about it. Feels like the 0 catcher to me lmfao.

Yeah, now that I think harder, I think I did have some issues with Kiwami 2's ufo catcher as well. And yeah, the dragon engine physics being at fault makes total sense when you look at any of the ragdoll physics...

Took a few tries, but I cleaned out every machine. Git gud maybe? Imagine raging over UFO catcher, lmao!

The trick is to get the stuff into the hole any means possible, you don't have to grab and drop it in. Their position doesn't reset unless you ask for it. I even knocked 2 into the hole with one grab before.

Yup, the Dragon Engine rly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the physics. I finally had one of the needed Gon Gons in the claw and it bugged out and flew across the box. You gotta be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me

I've never played any of the previous games, but I found this thread while googling "why is the yakuza crane game so easy?". This thread is from years ago, so I am wondering if they nerfed the crane game after complaints?
