Silver safes respawning?

Is it normal that the contents of the silver safes in the city respawn every time you load the map or take a taxi? I can keep opening the same safes again and again each time I restart the game after taking a break or using the taxi. They always have the same contents, so this doesn't seem like its intended... Anyone else has this happen?

Mine seem to have refilled last night. I’m not sure exactly when it happened but I noticed the safe above Can Quest was closed again. I opened it and got the Metal Bat again. Same thing for the safe in Hello Work. I wouldn’t think anything of it if you got different items but it seems to just give you the same stuff.

my gold safes also respawned, maybe the patch?

I’m thinking the patch caused it as well. I wasn’t aware there was a patch at all until today so it probably downloaded automatically without me noticing. I’ll keep an eye out to see if they respawn again.

Wow, okay, so I'm *not* crazy. Not about this, anyway. I kept wondering if I accidentally loaded the wrong save file or something. I'm having those little suitcase boxes respawn as well, but I think that's been doing that since before the patch.

I believe suitcases and shines are supposes to respawn. They don’t always give you the same thing.

The suitcases and safes, both gold and silver, respawn periodically. Safes take longer to respawn and always have the same loot while suitcases have random loot (I don't know if they have fixed loot for the first pickup or not). Shiny spots do not respawn.

I don't think the safes are supposed to respawn though. When I made this post, they respawned 4 times in quick suggession each time I loaded a save or took a taxi. Than suddenly, they haven't respawned for me in over 20+ hours. All the respawns happened in chapter 3-4 for me, nothing after that. Suitcase do respawn but those are supposed to respawn I think since the loot is different each time.

Well I for one ain't complaining about the respawning in fact in the later chapters it really helps, but mine respawn during two conditions either during after every passing chapter before the patch or after so many day & night cycles (I think the patch changed it to the latter). Also every time you go in & out of the sewer dungeon part it'll always respawn so it's a great way to item farm to raise extra cash at the pawn shop Epescially when you need to raise 25,000,000 Yen.
