I could understand, if all cut scenes we're pre-rendered videos (save some space by not having to make a duplicated video for every aspect ratio). But even ingame engine cut scenes have those bars.
But I wasn't expecting a demanding game. It's still the very old engine, with the outdated animations, better but still poor textures, even in the higher settings. The higher resolution and frame rates are the main difference, compred to previous Yakuza games on PC.
Those character animations (except facial ones), are really outdated. Everything so stiff, no motion capture used. Sometimes, the character that is not talking is so still, that for a second it looks like the game froze. But it's part of the quirckiness of Yakuza games, but they better do something better next time.
1080p and 1440p see no difference either so it's definitely more on the optimisations side than the hardware. until i figure out more I may just slightly lower the render resolution. Or look out for a driver update, perhaps.
WQHD Ultra Details 1440p = Steady 70 fps in Open World in Cut Scenes about 90-110 fps
It works really good but my Gpu only use 70% in 1400p. That's a bit strange
4K with High Details and no AA i got about 54-60 fps.
SO overall it workes good but i really think its system related how good for everyone.
pretty much 55-60 with every setting on high except for multisampling
Max settings; however multisampling on and no AA.
Depends on the scene really. First scene in free roam in chapter 3 dipped it down to around 60-65. Some scenes around chapter 1-2 can go up to 90-100.
Also GPU usage was kept at 98-100%, unlike stupid Watch Dogs Legion which sometimes drops to 70%.
Game runs great for me.
