Game wont launch

Got half way through the game booted down PC one day tried launching the game and screen goes black then fails to load bringing me back to home screen. I redownloaded same thing I don"t have time in my day to go into settings and mess around with the files is this going to be patched at some point or should I get a refund?

Here's what worked for me:
Go to /AppData/Roaming/Sega/YakuzaLikeADragon
and delete both graphics.ini and input.ini

You'll have to reassign your controls and graphics settings after this, if you'd changed them beforehand.

I'm having this issue - same thing or different? Won't get past loading screen - loads partway then stalls... sometimes the "loading" word is still moving but if I alt-tab in/out it usually stops and then stops responding in task manager... :

It takes forever to load and when it does I only once got to the first cutscene - when going to the next cut scene stalled at loading screen again...

I have a GTX1080 and running on Windows 10...

I followed things here but that doesn't seem to be my issue.. game launches ok (albeit a bit slow) - I can get through the menus and start the game fine but the cutscenes/gameplay won't launch...

Exact same thing I'm running into. Played fine last night, rebooted and now I can't get the game to launch. I'm getting an access violation in the event viewer. I've updated everything under the sun, reinstalled, uninstalled dlc, checked disk, system file integrity. Still nothing working for me. The Looper's suggestion did appear to work for me though, so thanks!

Where do you find this file in the steam install? Having trouble locating it.

It's not Steam folder, open this location: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Sega\YakuzaLikeADragon

I suddenly got failure to launch tonight and removing the ini files there fixed it.

The files didn't appear is there any soft wear recommendations?

Good lord, still the same with me but i dont even get a crash steam tells me iam starting Yakuza but nothing happens and after a while steams tells me iam not palying anything.
Deleted all the inis an rebooted everything and validated and ran everything in admin nothing worked iam losing my mind, after 75 hours were everything was just fine it now wont even start.

Yeah same problem here and was Avast for me, added an exception in the settings, game

Had the same issue with avast. Its pretty much the new update related to the crash

Yhea it was avast ffs, if i would have lost 70 hours of my life i would be pissed, thanks for the heads up

I had the same problem The solution was add an exception using Avast.
