Sadly it is clear that you indeed would need to use a trainer, and sadly every trainer out there requires you to pay them monthly for the use of them, to which I see as a really disgusting thing. I have even gone to the extent to discover hex key "hacking", but haven't the slightest clue what the hell I am looking at nor for with it.
I don't have much in the way of hope that anyone has any new info on the front of being able to do this with the game, but I at least wanted to put my perspective on it out there in case it may spark inspiration or an idea that can help anything that enables players to customize the style of the gameplay. Whether it be a dev implemented addition with options, or, someone within the community gains the permission and ability to allow for it.
Any way you could provide me and others who may want something similar a link to the engine itself? That'd be epic and greatly appreciated! And your response is what I had hoped to be able to gain from my original post on this thread, too. So thank you for your response!
I would caution you to use it at your own risk because it did trigger a malware warning, but I did not have any problems. Once I downloaded that and the table from FR, I tested it and everything worked perfectly. Again, this was a while ago so I am not sure if the latest Rising Star 2 updates will still work.
Having played a lot of Steam games with mods, I would caution anyone interested in mods to avoid any from outside the Steam Workshop. I burned out a hard-drive with modding malware once, it is frustrating and expensive.
And obviously anyone who wishes to use mods/cheats from various google search yielded results, likely understands and knows the risks of doing so. It's always possible to end up with some kind of malware, spyware and/or virus infection from doing so. Though in my experience, that's happened but twice, and both happened close to or possibly even over a full decade ago.
All the more reason, alongside all the other people who consistently chirp in response to suggestions of allowing mods/cheats in the game is pointless to them, that I think my suggestion of implementing a ability to customize the style of gameplay one wants out of the game is a good idea. That, or implement a Console Command system like many other games have and use. That I know of, both would be relatively easy and quick to implement.
Also what exactly do you mean by "cheat address"?
