Honestly, I stop doing any jobs after I make enough cash to operate without them.
I enjoy the little side jobs, just wish they varied more often
Two other skills I never invest in are Repair and Business. Happiness can be raised from 5 points a pop just by TRYING to repair stuff, and Repair skill rises with actual successfully repairing. I recruit a Mongo for every band who has repair skill and keeps the others from breaking stuff when they are repairing. Once all the band members are decent at repair I fire Mongo and get someone with a needed skill. This strategy can make a LOT of cash in early game by fixing gear and reselling it.
As for business skill, I am hoping that Todd will do something in a future patch that inputs pitfalls that cost a LOT when a band has no business sense, Until then, the marginal benefits go by the wayside as you can still make a fortune in game without it.
