Book Local Gigs.

I would love to be able to book local gigs around a town other than where my manager lives without having to fire him.

You can. Drive to those cities and hit every pub and club trying to book a gig. It's the reason most of us hire a manager.

I think everyone agrees that using the "Book Local Gigs" on manager drop down should allow you to:

A) Pick the central location.

B) Have the bookings based around the location your band is at when you make the request.

When I'm starting out if I'm in USA I just select like 600 or so miles or whatever is basically a days drive. Works pretty good. Thats like DC to Atlanta or Virginia to Mass.

Mid to late game if I dont want to setup a tour I just bump it up to 10k miles and 10k venues. Works great you get all of the arenas basically every where. 1 time it even booked me in Europe while I was in USA. It only happened once and I'm not sure if it is suppose to happen or was just some kind of hiccup/bug type thing. But was pretty cool

what I do now is just say book a local gig within 3000 miles with a minimum of 7000 attendance, but it seems silly to do that. I'd rather be able to pick the locality of my gigs. For example if I am popular in a certain town and want to take advantage of that, I'd want to gig there more. Or if I am unpopular and wanted to change it,

This has been discussed at length in other threads, and everyone pretty much agrees that there needs to be an option to book local gigs in a specific area rather than radiating from the Manager's locale.

Hopefully, Todd will address the issue, or give us feedback on why it cannot be done.
