Band with no singer

My original idea was to have a band fronted by a keyboardist/vocalist a la Billy Joel, but having a singer play and instrument isn't in the game yet. So the next best thing is to just not hire a singer and "pretend" he's singing. Am I allowed to have a gigging band without a singer, and if so, are there any limitations?

I think you need one singer, thats minimum. You can have multiple drummers, bass players and guitarrists. One vocalist, three bass players for example.

You can be whatever you want, the only limit is for drummer, you can have only 1 due space limits. You can create band with 5 keyboardist, 5 singers, 5 guitairsts etc. or even a solo but this is hard right now due game mechanic which require few band members with different skills for optimal progress.

On my very old save right after game was released was Motorhead style band with bassist, guitarist and drummer and was a fun I only get mad on stage placement of musicans (me, bassist and role play vocalist was on the the very right) but this might be changed in future beceause Todd have ideas about stage disgner same as adding singer/instrumentalist.

That's cool. I guess my only other question would be if I technically don't have a singer in the band, can I still write a song with lyrics or would they all have to be instrumentals without a singer?

Yes, I'm looking forward to the update that allows a singer playing an instrument, whenever that comes out. I know it's been addressed probably several times by now, so I didn't want to beat a dead horse.
