Savegame system needs changes...
Just my opinion. I'm not a developer and in the occasions i had the chance to work in videogames i just was the musician, so i don't know if this i'm going to propose need a lot of programming...

What i mean is that, in my opinion, just a Manual Save and a AutoSave is not enough. Specially with some crashes everyone of us are having.

In my particular case, both my manual and autosave are "corrupted" in some way (there's a post in Bug Reports about that) and i can't continue my game, so i have to start over again which is actually annoying after +40 hours of gameplay with this band.

If we had the chance to make several savegames, we can go back to a savegame which is ok and continue from then... at least it's better than starting again from the beginning.

Another thing that is weird about savegames... as i could not have several savegames I made several backups of the game i was playing (just making a copy of the savegame folder in Appdata).

But, after loading the game from the backup savegame, when i save again that game it doesn't overwrite the backup savegame, but the original one. I supposse this is related to the "band name" which is the same of the savegame, but IMHO it doesn't make any sense.

Sorry if i didn't explain myself very well. English is not my mother language!

Hey Darth, I have 192 hours into the game and I don't remember seeing a single crash except the graveyard/mow black screen bug. So wouldn't exactly say "Everyone" is having crashes. That said, that is a bummer. As far as not writing to the backup save game, having played a million games that try and prevent save scumming that's pretty normal. Corrupted save files are the worst though in any ironman game.

I've never understand the thing about "preventing save scumming".

Why? Which is the point on that? If someone wants to have a gaming experience by cheating with savegames, let him/her do it. It's something disgraceful but it's his/her problem. I don't do it but i don't want to lose all my progress neither, which is what has happened to me.

I have already abandoned the game for a while because i cannot continue my savegame (with the hope to come back, when the frustration i feel now goes away) . Starting over is the last thing i want to do and i don't want to invest other 40-50 hours to see the same happening to me.

When i said "everyone" it was just a way of speaking (maybe related to being spanish... we exaggerate a lot). I just mean that there are some people (close to "a lot" hehehe) having issues, some of then being "game breaking issues". A way to resolve this, at least for me, is having several savegames so i can go back to one of them if one savegame gets corrupted.

I do that "saving strategy" in a lot of games, specially when i start modding them, but only to recover if some problem or game breaking issue happens. I don't use them to cheat. ;)

I get ya Darth. Alot of people use an Honor system of save reloading. I don't care either way unless I'm watching some youtube guy play a game (this has happened 3 times) where I found they were straight up cheating and making out like it was clever play. One guy was so clumsy you have to be an idiot not so see it. Cheers Darth!
