Why? Which is the point on that? If someone wants to have a gaming experience by cheating with savegames, let him/her do it. It's something disgraceful but it's his/her problem. I don't do it but i don't want to lose all my progress neither, which is what has happened to me.
I have already abandoned the game for a while because i cannot continue my savegame (with the hope to come back, when the frustration i feel now goes away) . Starting over is the last thing i want to do and i don't want to invest other 40-50 hours to see the same happening to me.
When i said "everyone" it was just a way of speaking (maybe related to being spanish... we exaggerate a lot). I just mean that there are some people (close to "a lot" hehehe) having issues, some of then being "game breaking issues". A way to resolve this, at least for me, is having several savegames so i can go back to one of them if one savegame gets corrupted.
I do that "saving strategy" in a lot of games, specially when i start modding them, but only to recover if some problem or game breaking issue happens. I don't use them to cheat. ;)
