I have searched everywhere and can’t find this first crab location 😭 anyone know?

Hi! Imitation Crab disguises himself as everyday objects in town, so if you see a coat rack, berry bush, soy sauce bottle, etc. out of place, try interacting with it. Yeah, I haven’t found it yet it’s but I’m looking forward to trying again later. I did a quick jog around the island thinking I would easily spot it but NO 😆

I’m on Xbox and I’m pretty confident it’s a bug. Nothing looks out of place like what’s listed above and I’ve clicked on every stinking thing on this map to see if I’m just a silly boy and missed it but no luck 😭

I find the imitation crab but it never logs it. Like it does a poof animation but the challenge doesn't register that I did it.

I found one, notice board and same as user above. It's poooof , gone and don't register.

Oh thank god. I thought I was going crazy. Also playing this on the Xbox and spent ages trying to find it. Now I know that vanishing notice board was probably it and it was all a bug. Ahhhhhhh. Now I can relax.

Just as an update the second crab assignment I got it worked.

Just to add: I just unlocked the crab "feature". Found a random sign/notice board, interacted with it, it disappeared but it didn't register that it's the imitation crab. It was also one of my daily challenges, which didn't register. Looking forward to the update! :)

I had a daily challange to find the Imitation Crab, found a sign show up south of Wren's shop and the notice board, and after I interacted with it it just disappeared. If that was supposed to be the Imitation Crab, then it didn't register.

Hey there! Can you confirm if this happened on v1.0.27? (You'll see the version number in the bottom left of the title screen)

Yes, it happened just a couple of hours ago, and I had already downloaded the update.

I'd like to add that I had a second challenge to find the crab, I found it but it didn't register again despite the new update today :(

I just clicked on a signpost and it disappeared, but I didn't get credit for finding the imitation crab. I'm on v1.0.27. (Though I have to say the imitation crab idea is hilarious! )
