Somewhere that reminds you what keys activate your abilities, so that if you forget how to honk (or other things) there's a reminder.

Rugs. Unless I just haven't found any yet. I would love to see rugs we can put on the floors to make different areas stand out.

A boost to XP gain would be much appreciated. The worst part of the game was grinding to get to the next level where you could advance the story and get new stuff, and now that I'm done and just want to get the final recipes which I'm still missing, the game expects me to reach level 20. Despite the fact that, even with all my Charming items and loads of tables, I advance about 1/6 of a level per session of doing the same gameplay loop over and over again, with no new things to unlock or try out.

I mean, I'll still do it because I have this compulsion that I can't leave the game "unfinished" like this, but I know I'll be very tired of it by the time that I'm done.

Enjoying the game so far, a little simple and repetitive but I'm okay with that.

Context - playing on Xbox, currently level 14. I have read some of the messages already posted but not all.

1. Marketplace - make it easier to shop, maybe a buy all option or buy all of a certain type option.
I would also appreciate it if the pop ups stop too.

2. There is a notice board, it would be nice if I could help the town with one or two daily quests e.g. find/deliver something in exchange for cash/ingredients/items

3. Recycling. 1G very pointless.

4. I'm a robot! So generally I am good with keeping information. I actually wasn't sure what a "rainbow food" does and honestly I still don't entirely know but I give it to people when I don't have the dish currently out! Even with all the tutorials, I should have a reference section within the menu (this also makes sense for the character!)

5. I'm building relationships but I don't contribute to it. Wish I could say something back after a cafe date.

6. Characters say the same thing even on days the challenge is to speak with x person. If my friendship is advancing I feel these should also open up.

7. I'm quite short sighted so even with a large screen I struggle to see the little boxes in the corner. There is some inconsistency with font size e.g. gold font size v task and challenge font size. Even in the menu the font size is larger then when you click into a topic it's tiny again.

8. Hats are fun but I wish they would unlock when you would complete something e.g. construction hat after your first expansion. Just buying them wasn't satisfying.

9. I like the traveling chef and imitation crab (once the bug is fixed) but more day visitors would be great. Not entirely sure what the point of Kappa and Yeti are - not much to interact with... I'm sure it will come together

10. With my short-sightedness I struggle to see very far so associated with colours and shapes sometimes. Hearty and sweet meals have both similar colours and shapes. Please make the distinction clearer for accessibility.
It would be good if we could tell which customer we are sending food too as well or if it auto-serves to the one who has waited the longest or wants that food. Two "hands" wouldn't hurt either.
I have been able to send a level 5+ meal to someone requesting it but it doesn't have to be the same colour - not understanding why we have the categories if it's just the level the customer is after.

11. Organising your decor/recipes. Adding to this - what's the point of expanding your restaurant if you still can't put a lot of furniture in there?

12. Being able to select a few recipes to serve at a time so you can maximise on what you need e.g. high levels or ritzy for extra cash, rainbow for extra xp etc.

Game is animal crossing x diner dash -esque for me. I like aspects but can see why people get bored or over the grind. I feel like there are too many aspect so you just feel like you're hitting goals without any real reason?

Game was otherwise fun and generally sweet. I wish I could feel more invested. Like others I was a little disappointed with with lack of cooking but I'm okay with this format, a little different and I'm still playing!

Thanks team!

Quick suggestion that would be appreciated by many and save time:

I had about 18 Gourmahi in my inventory and had to use them on a dish one by one. It would be great if, when we have multiple ingredients in our inventory, we could choose how many of them to use at once for leveling the dish. That way, I could have chosen to use all 18 (or the max.) on the dish I was trying to level up.

Absolutely agree with this. Im at level 13, with 10 tables and 10 exp from charming items. I average 18 customers a day, meaning im only getting about 180 exp from those items, which feels incredibly low when you need to get so much exp.

Thank you! We're at least going to implement a menu where you can revisit all past tutorials as a helpful reminder of how things work and what buttons are used!

This is a great idea and would add a lot of variety to the restaurant designs. Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback! We are listening to everything regarding the balancing of the game, especially in the second half of the game. We want the game to be a fun, chill experience and I'm sorry the current balance is in conflict with that.

Thank you SO much for the extensive feedback, it's really helpful for us! There's so much good stuff in here, I look forward to combing through it with my brother and seeing what we can accomplish after the initial launch bugs are resolved.

I agree! We hope to address many quality of life issues like this as soon as possible. Thank you for playing!!

Love the game! Thank you! Some quality of life game play suggestions I have are: have a "buy all" option at the supermarket so I don't need to go around clicking each day on each object if I'm going to buy them all anyways. Once you reach a certain level, would also be nice to have an "automatically apply ingredients" option so that it applies ingredients to rolls. It's just so repetitive and time consuming and would be nice to "unlock" this easy feature at a certain level to make it easier to do.

Side ideas: let me go fishing, let me own and decorate a home, visit villagers homes, new areas to explore on a map (would pay for DLC for this in the future).

Hi!
First of all, I'm in love with this game. I haven't stopped playing since I got it (PC, in the xbox store). I'm already on Lvl. 20 and since there are no more missions/achievements like at the beginning, here are some suggestions so the game can stay just a bit more ''dynamic'' and be able to play more

1 - Give new ''usefulness'' to guests
For instance, using them so they give you clues about a secret mission. Those clues allows you to interact with the map and other guests/characters. Maybe at the end you win a new and exclusive recipe/furniture/etc that you can only get by doing that ''secret'' and long mission.
Or adding occasional street sellers (similar to the traveling chef) with products on sale or something different

2 - Add more functions to Maia
After leveling up all of the friendships, Maia loses her main function and you can no longer use the coffee/dessert tasting/feast options. I remember that using Maia gave me speed at the restaurant and I kind of miss that (getting speed by food is good, but i would love to have the effect for the whole day).
So, what if buying the coffee/dessert tasting/feast (or adding any other) could give certain effects during serving at the restaurant that day? for instance, coffee gives you speed, dessert gives you double profits, feast double XP for leveling up the restaurant... idk. Just adding new features and rising the price accordingly

3 - I've noticed the kitchen can't be moved. The thing is, if I'm stuck with the kitchen on the left, I can't put more tables on the right side of the restaurant since I can't see them... It would be amazing if it could be moved even if it's just a little. If possible, adding furniture inside the kitchen that is only meant to be in the kitchen would be cool

4 - Some have mentioned this as well but, multiplayer mode. Would be fun to play with friends or people online. I'm also curious about other people's restaurants, how they look like, how they arrange their furniture, etc.

5 - Being able to expand the restaurant more and, of course, put more furniture. Even though I leveled up, the capacity for furniture didn't go up... quite sad for all the cute furniture I have in my inventory

6 - Letting the customers interact with the furniture, let them sit on the couch, go to the soda machine, etc. and getting the respective profits would make the restaurant more ''alive''. The furniture feels abandoned

7 - Add more stuff with Wren. Some have said rugs, wallpapers, floors, etc. and I thing that would be cool. Also, is it possible to add a restock option for Wren? I want to buy a specific type of table but it takes me multiples days so I can buy just 1, therefore, a restock would be perfect, or adding another slot for tables (and maybe more designs with more seats... or tables for 1 person)

8 - There are hats so you can personalize your character. Is it possible to personalize the clothing? It can make the experience better, specially with multiplayer mode

9 - Once you learn all the recipes the traveling chef has, she just keeps selling you ingredients and most of the ones I've bought were low quality and more expensive than with Arman. Can the traveling chef have another feature? (helping with leveling up recipes, for instance)

10 - The metal detector attached to the robot was only used to find the little robots. After that, it's useless. Make it temporary so it won't stay there forever. OR... what if you can find treasures with it every day? occasional gold, trash, cans... idk.

11 - Talking about the little robots, it's a stressing when they don't let you pass (and they walk reaaaally slow). Maybe being able to go through them like if they're invisible would be better.

12 - Someone also mentioned this. The cans and their 1G... it's too little even if you're lvl. 2

13 - Make the seasons of the year shorter so you can experience all of them without waiting countless days

14 - Again, thinking about multiplayer, would be cool to trade with them or have a common market so I can sell/give away stuff that I can't use and other can buy a ton of them if they need it

15 - Make more noticeable the result of the investment with Yorick. Most of the times I miss it

16 - Give more motivation to find the imitation crab, more rewards... idk. After buying everything from Min, finding the crab became meaningless

17 - Adding more achievements. for example: for leveling up to the max ALL of the recipes; Save certain amount of money; Find the imitation crab ''x'' amount of times; Invest in Yorick productions; collect ALL the hats...

18 - Make dangerous spots on the map. Staying in the water for too long can kill you (you might lose money or XP)

19 - Being able to get more mysterious potions. I've leveled up the recipes the most I can so those potions are my only option for now

20 - I think Kappa, Yeti and Oni deserve to have more activity in the game just like most of the friends. Maybe they can give you stuff accordingly to where they stay all the time (with Maia, Arman and Wren) and sometimes a curse (like someone suggested with the shrine)

21 - Being able to interact with the map depending on the season (flower fields in spring, people on the beach in summer, pick up leaves from the floor in fall (and just like cans, you can put them in the trash???) snow balls and snowman in winter... something like that

22 - I think someone suggested this too: arrange the recipes (by flavor, quality, stars, etc.) and be able to know what ingredients work for what recipes, otherwise it's a bit confusing

Overall, it's a really good game, it has lots of potential. It still play even though I'm lvl.20.
Thank you for bring so much joy to my days with this game!

The icons for the dessert and sumptuous flavors are too similar in appearance and shape, and with the huge numbers obscuring them, this leads to frequent misreading, and the icons for all four flavors are too poorly recognizable.
Wallpaper and flooring of the same type and different materials can be made to organize secondary menus, ditto for teddy bears, sofas, etc. of different colors. Items also need to be organized according to the function of the precise, such as wallpaper and flooring unified in the second level of directory. The dining table has a separate secondary catalog, and so on.
Items can also be sold or donated to get rid of duplicates and unloved items.

既然你有众多配套的壁纸和地板,还有符合相应主题的装饰品,为什么不制作出对应的套装奖励,比如全部的装饰品都是海滩风格的,可以增加额外的经验值或者收入
Since you have a multitude of matching wallpaper and flooring, and decorations that fit the appropriate theme, why not create corresponding set bonuses, such as all of the decorations being beach-inspired, which can add extra experience points or income
Mr.cake Jun 18, 2024 @ 8:32pm
在上菜环节,可以高亮当前被选中的客户,并且可以增加提示诸如口味是否符合要求,品质等级是否符合要求。因为在很多情况下,会因为角度问题导致给客人上了错误的食物
In the serving section, you can highlight the currently selected customer and add hints such as whether the flavor meets the requirements and whether the quality level meets the requirements. This is because in many cases the wrong food is served to the customer because of the angle.

Loving the game and updates! (playing via Gamepass on PC and even the ol' Xbox One )

Inventory suggestion - maybe a way to sort furniture by type/effect (Charming/Relaxing/Profitable) and be able to hide ("junk") the lesser quality ones that are no longer useful in the late game?

Framerate on the Xbox One is kind of low - wondered if it just needed to use a lower graphics setting for the old machine if it's not something else limiting the framerate (I'm probably a very tiny minority still using the console, so I understand if it's not a priority to look into :p). Definitely a lot easier to manage the restaurant with 60fps on PC xD

Cheers,

edit:
Oh just remembered, re: recycling cans - how about some XP alongside coins if just to make it something else to do in the end-game to give it purpose?

There seems to also be a counter tracking the # of cans already recycled for the achievement, so maybe XP could also be retro-actively calculated/added for folks as well (?)

:D

I posted these in my review, but in hopes of the suggestions being seen, I'll post them here, too.

1) Add a dialogue to Arman’s menu that allows you to buy the entire stock at one time. Please. It would be so nice.
2) Add a way to buy the mysterious potions that add a level of quality to your sushi. There is no way to get these outside of the painful RNG of Coggie’s fishing. Maybe convert Min’s shop into something that sells the potions (and maybe ingredients too?) so that the challenge points don’t just accumulate into the thousands since there is literally nothing to do with them after you buy out the shop.
3) Add the option to Wren to switch out the furniture. It would be a blessing, especially when you have more money than you know what to do with.
4) Add a sort feature to the décor. Right now, I have no idea how it’s sorted and it’s a cluttered mess trying to sort through it. It feels like there’s no rhyme or reason to it at all. A sort filter would be even better; sort by Relaxing, Charming, Profitable, etc.
5) Add a visible grid to the restaurant that you can toggle on or off if you want to when placing décor. Please. I just want to set things parallel to each other, but eyeballing that is a huge pain.
6) Please, please, please add a hat that is the imitation crab. The fact that there isn’t one is baffling.
7) Before the shift starts, be able to assign the little helper robots to cleaning a particular type of décor to focus on—again, Relaxing, Charming, Profitable, etc. I have so much money that Sushi-Bot could buy Rolling Hills twice over, but those little helpers just keep polishing away at the Profitable décor. I’d put more Charming décor in the restaurant, but Wren seems to refuse to sell any of it to me.
alynnc Jun 27, 2024 @ 1:46pm
I got to my restaurant expansion and used the extra space as a spot to store all my decor because it was a bit of a struggle to keep track of the orders off to the side. I think it would be a good idea to introduce a new friend that you can hire to work for you for a cut of your profits from the day
