Tried that guy's fix with deleting those files and reinstalling with the program but it's still the same.
Is there any system log or other info I could provide for more info?
Can you try uninstalling your HEVC extension and also Windows Media Player: https://www.majorgeeks.com/content/page/how_to_install_or_uninstall_windows_media_player_in_windows_10.html
Restart your computer after the uninstall, and then reinstall Windows Media Player and the HEVC extension. If you haven't already, backup and delete your saved HereSphere files at C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\HereSphere (replace UserName with your info).
Deleted user files too, no go.
I still plan on adding additional media playback options next year, if you have the patience to wait and try again. I'll let you know if I come up with any other ideas.

Thanks again for all your help, and thank you for making the best vr video player out there!
MPC-HC also plays these files as expected.
What can I do? How can I enable application log?

Maybe also try renaming the file to mpg. I'm not sure if Media Foundation support mpeg-ts files, though. Once I'm able to implement the mpv playback backend, I think video compatibility issues like these should be resolved, but I still haven't had time to finish implementing it, yet.
Thanks. it worked with .mpg extension. I had previously tried .ts, .mpeg, .mpeg2 etc. :D
MPEG2VideoExtension was already installed.
No idea why some files are in wrong format (downloaded with yt-dlp with ffmpeg enabled).
Once renamed from .MP4 to .WEBM, the thumbnail is created, but the video which is vp9/vorbis still not working, while the basic "Movies and TV" windows default player can play them.
I tried again to reinstall the K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1720_Basic.exe instead, but still not working.
Its sad since this VR player had better perfomance than others (while offering great features like multiple settings during a single video), but it lacks of internal codec support.
Maybe try to use ffmpeg libs like MPV player does instead of relying on installed codecs on a system.
