External subtitles are supported (srt, ssa, or ass subtitle formats). They just need to match the name of the video file. There should be a "CC" icon above the seekbar that turns purple when a subtitle file is found. You wrote "str" instead of "srt" format, so is that a typo, or do you actually mean "srt"?

For some reason, the subtitle only appear in perspective mode, for others, it did it show, adjusting pitch, distance in subtitle option didn’t bring up any of the subtitle too.

Are you watching with a VR headset, or in desktop mode (on your monitor)? Are you using a "srt" file? And is the pitch set to something between -30 to 30 (anything out of that range might not be visible depending on your headset FOV).

I've always wondered if there is a desktop mode where I can go in and do cleanup and organization duties while not in vr. If so how do I access that?
And is there or can we get an option to force Heresphere window to the forefront so once I have my VR headset on I dont have to mess with my mouse? I like to change my display input so it can go to screensaver and move the mouse out of the way once I start Heresphere. Thanks!

If you unplug or disable your headset, the app will start in desktop mode and you can use the mouse to control the camera. I don't think there's a way to force the app into the foreground without using the mouse. Maybe an autohotkey script can work.
