Any idea why it might be?

Do you have the Microsoft HEVC video extension installed? Can you also provide the audio format/codec information (some audio codecs like dolby might not work)?

I'm also making good progress on the DirectShow implementation, so hopefully that'll provide better codec compatibility once it's finished (aiming for 1-2 weeks from now).

I do have it installed.
I don't think it's the audio, as I've tried it without the audio track as well.
It's fine though, if DirectShow is only a few weeks away, I can wait and see if it works with that.
