HereSphere VR Video Player

New user basic questions
I'm on windows

I would prefer full mouse and keyboard control, like virtual desktop. Is this possible? At the moment i have to control the cursor by looking where i want it and then can use the keyboard to select.

I've set left and right arrow keys to skip forward and backward in the bindings but it doesn't appear to do anything to the movie

How do i make the overlay disappear? I've started a video but the menu overlay won't go away. I can make it transparent but can't figure out how to make it go away completely... Found it its the escape key.... can you set it to auto disappear like virtaul desktop. I.e. if movie is playing and no input is received hide after 5 seconds?

Hi, to use the mouse to control the cursor, just press the left click button on the mouse when the menu is visible. Make sure the HereSphere window on your desktop has focus (meaning it's in the foreground). If you're using a WMR headset, you might need to press Win+Y to allow mouse and keyboard input while the headset is on.

The seek forward and backward keybindings are only active when the menu is hidden.

Autohiding the menu would interfere with the current UX design, but you can also hide the menu by pressing the middle click button on your mouse.

Thanks for the reply. I figured most of it out. So your menu design must be good!.

I got seek forward working but is there a way to make holding down the button keep skipping, at the moment i need to spam the button I've assigned.

Is there a way to change the fish eye FOV? there are quite a few videos using 190 instead of 180

Currently, holding the seek button down won't make it keep skipping, but it's on the to-do list.

To change the FOV, go to the advanced video settings, and then set the "True FOV" setting. You can also switch between different lens types if needed.
