- It has all the original DLC added, not sure they added anything else (never played D4 before).
- Store page and the NIS people here have said the online stuff isn't available at launch and will be added later. And from what I'm told, the online aspect is much more important than in D5, so it's in their best interest to do so.
I have to interject here on the final point. Online has NEVER been important to disgaea; you won't miss anything if you never touch it.
On that subject (but now I'm venturing into personal opinion) I disliked the online aspects of the game...all everyone seemed to make was super easy cheesy Exp/Hell grinds....there were no challenge maps whatsoever (or were severely drowned out to the point of them seemingly not existing) and instead you were bombarded with item-dupe maps, maps that allow a lvl 1 char go up THOUSANDS of levels by defeating a single enemy....or give you gazillions of hell on a single clear....now I understand people don't like to grind and find methods to avoid it but honestly....people tend to go overboard on that too...and when people go overboard; I do really mean they go SO overboard they skip past the waters, onto the next ship.... in space ... in a galaxy far far away .... in another dimension.
but what are they for ? do they boost stats ?
To be more elaborate about this. Innocents are stat buffs on items. They start of as the reddish monster face but if you subdue them in the Item World (Enemies with yellow healthbars) they increase in power and can be moved between weapons. There's an innocent for just about every numerical value in the game and then some extra's that do misc things like make funny noises upon attacks, copy a random item from the gear list of the defeated enemy, change into other innocents, raise mana/exp gains etc etc etc.
By combining them you can build a paper sword that has extreme amounts of INT boni (if you want) or, how many people use this, give a fist-type weapon 300 statisticians so any kill with that weapon triples the amount of exp gained combined with innocents that either raise the team attack chance or go for spoils with hell and mana gains. Most of the raw stat-innocents cap out at 500, most of the utility types (exp, mana, hl) cap out at 300 and unique innocents cap at....well...1 (even though you can get multiple weapons with the same innocent)
Well I have to disappoint you when it comes to that one but you'll either have to find out for yourself and remember OR consult a spreadsheet.... Usually you can tell by comparing 2 similar weapons (you get plenty of copies anyways) and deduce their boni from the differences in the weapons....common sense helps a bit in this regard (a Gladiator isn't going to boost your RES)
But if you don't have the guide or plenty of hours in the game...just about the only thing is a wiki like this one:
