Customizing your equipment with Unique Innocents is the biggest timesink in this game IMO. Sometimes you grab what you want on the third try for each piece fo equipment. in other times, you get the first of the 3 or 4 that you want after 80-100+ resets.
Now. Is it worth it? It all depends on what you want at the end of the road. They do make your characters stronger but, for the record, you can definetly beat stuff like the revisited maps of Baal and Pringer X on LoC without them.
And regarding the bills question. i can't give a proper answer. I've only used the Innocent Route Gates when i wanted to find specific pirates on the Treasure and Innocent routes.
There are a lot of fun meme ideas I have, but ultimately, those are just memes. Like "can act again when hitting weakness" evility, combined with other characters using stuff that reduces enemy resistance just by being on the map, or next to them, and the elemental amplifier evility of the magic knight. On a monster unit obviously.
A Mystic beast would be fun, because they further amp elemental damage. Absolutely awful magic, so that'd need a lot of work raising the amps and whatnot, but... it would be a fun meme. Death would be easier to set up (int suited), would be less damage, but hits SP as well.
Gotta give the game one thing. There's a lot of fun combinations. Unfortunately, setting things up takes so much time, it's usually remaining just fun ideas. And unique innocents feel like they are just one more part of that. Double attack innocent with forced counter evility, counter + innocent, and the evility that raises your damage for every further attack than 1 you do in a single turn? Have a medic or 9 around on top of it? Sure. Sounds fun. But I think I keep on nuking with big bang, spells, Desco and so on.
I got that one twice while trying to get the Sweet Tempter...
Mode Changer, Kinder Gardener, Wuss, Motivator, Hand Shaker, Cat Burglar, Sweet Tempter
and Punisher are good ones.
Chalkboard Scraper, Rubber, Beggar, Partier, Killer, Town Crier and Eraser are cute to use.
Secret Trainer, Glutton, Berry Picker, High Spiriter, Mana Robber, All Digger, Trash Talker, Sensasionalist, Sun Bather, Joke Slapper, Sumo Wrestler are worthless filler.
I would put Glutton on the same category as Secret Trainer and co. on the PS3 and PS VITA versions because you can use it on a hilarious setup that the damage meter overflows and you deal 184 quadrillion damage instead of healing your friends.
Punisher sounds nice, if you can actually not kill something asap. But isn't the goal reaching the state where you can?
Motivator and wuss are, once again, utterly useless if you kill before you get completely killed.
Kinder Gardender also assumes you need to actually survive stuff.
The only thing actually useful for offense is Hand Shaker. No arguing there. But how useful is that? You get hit pretty much automatically to an extend. I dunno if there's anything where this is really worthwhile. Evade panel in item world or chara world alone isn't really enough.
Cat Burglar is nice for duping, but you'd not really put this on a build that wants to kill.
That's why I wonder. I'm not exactly super powerful yet, but I've been playing the last 30 of hours essentially never giving the enemy a single turn. So all this defensive stuff feels.. pointless.
Thanks to Kinder Gardener, Wuss, Motivator and Sweet Tempter i have tank units in this game. You know, the game whose endgame would be just a glass cannon fest.
Though i don't use Mode Changer anymore, it's certainly has its uses since the AI isn't smart enough to play around it most of the time. It's also yet another tool to make the Baal battle easier since all of his attacks are physical.
Hand Shaker is pretty powerful since it ignores any kind of evasion Evilities, the Evade panels and the usual calculations for accuracy. It's really nice to have it in your equipment if you're going to tackle the Pirate Tournament/Pirate Duels or try to kill uploaded pirates in the Item World.
Punisher, hilariously enough, is a tool that you can use to kill uploaded units made by hackers. The ones with 10+ billion HP.
Gonna complete this gun then come back later.
