From what I have read on discord there will be multiple factions (which to me it implies more than 2)
Because they are easy to paint, and GW has to sell minis. Factions in age of sigmar are ridiculous as the armies, especially Cities of Sigmar. A bounch of messy races all togheter for "The greater good". I liked Stormcast Eternals because they have actually an army set up and different branches that make sense on the table as an army, compared to the rest of the armies that have idiotic organizations, even the battletome is much more detailed for Stormcast and thick. Dispossessed don't even have artillery, unless you get the human's because you know, everybody loves each other in Cities of Sigmar so much that they even forgot how to build their own war machines...especially dwarves..
Gotta wait for the Old World reboot in order to see some sense mate. I'm not hyped for the game as Focus usually release trash, but we'll see as soon as they drop some actual gameplay. But I have 0 hope.
I just hope to see some other factions in this game if it's even gonna be worth to be played.
They... have not really hyped stormcasts in 2 years, though?
Dibs are on tzeentch/khorne. I do not really see destruction as they either step too much nightaunt (goblins) or stormcast (ironjawz).
Could be wrong of course.
If it comes with only a measly 2 factions on release I'll wait for a sale down the line.
order - stormcast eternals
death - nighthaunt
chaos - everchosen and slaves to darkness
why? three of the four "factions" because three preorder weapons, the pics show stormcast and the one of the preorder weapons is a hammer that looks like a thunderbolt, the what i guess are enemy forces in one of the pics look all wraithy/ghostly and the pre-order weapon is a scythe though it could be legions of negash the nighthaunt fit better with the scythe as well as the unead faction shown at the end of the world premier trailer seems to be a horde of wraiths as the legions of negash seem to be more skeletons and vampires than anything else, and finally why chaos and not destruction is a bit of a grasp but the "hellish creatures" line in the description fits more chaos than destruction and if its a chaos faction than everchosen seems the most well obvious though i did consider creatures of chaos, and blades of khorne
