We'll need your friend's log file in order to investigate and find out the reason for his crash. It is located in "C:\Users\*username*\AppData\LocalLow\Agiriko\MicroWorks\Player.log" (AppData is a hidden folder by default, but you can access it by either selecting to show hidden folders in Windows settings, or just typing %appdata% into the Windows search bar).
You can upload it to a site like pastebin.com, or anywhere you want really, so long as we have the full file.
Alternatively, you can try lowering the graphics settings to Medium or below, which has significant memory benefits. Since he can't actually launch into the game to change it, he can edit it externally by:
1. Navigating to C:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLow\Agiriko\MicroWorks\cfg
2. Opening persist_steamid.cfg with any text editor
3. Changing the value in "gfx_iPipelineAsset" to any number between 0 to 2 (2 = Medium, 1 = Low, 0 = Very Low)
4. Saving the file and re-launching the game.
Let me know if any of this helped!
