Game wont launch

I tried all things from updating steam, which is already up to date, restarted my computer, and validating the game files, what more can i do

Did you try the game.ini file?
Game stopped working for me as well.
This fixed it for me.

Go to Steamapps>Common>Fairy Tail

Make a back up of the "game.ini" file somewhere else.
Delete one in the Fairy Tail folder.

Click Play again and see if the game loads.
(the game should make another game.ini file automatically)

Where did you find that game.ini file, there is no such file anywhere on my Fairy Tail game folders?

Maybe it doesnt create it until it least get black screen frozen then crash. Wouldnt even load black screen anymore so i try ini file and deleted it.

Well i can't even get that ini file created, so did wasted money on broken game then :(

I found that once you get past the black screen the first time it becomes much quicker to load up the game afterwards, the first time playing it might be creating the game.ini files and config data which might be why it takes so long and causes a not responding message, you just need to wait it out since it actually takes a good few minutes after that the game will load up fine the next time since the files will have been created

Doesn't do anything for me, i've been waitng for 30 minutes since i started game 2nd time, and still no ini files have been created anywhere :(

Game is not even showing up on my Task Manager when i try to launch the game.

Weird, i'm using GTX 1080 TI 11 GB and i have no idea why i can't launch the game. I'm gonna try my laptop later.

I had to wait 3min for the game to start. It looks like it has crashed, but wait for it, even minutes. Good luck!

2070 SUPER and it won't launch from big picture mode with a controller. Won't even get to a black screen to create the .ini file.

Is game still running when you're waiting for it to launch? For me it says it is running for 1 second and immediately closes and stops running.

well the 1060 is listed as recommended so it seems the pattern is that the people having the most problems are those who have GPUs better then the 1060?
