Stuck on serpent island

After awakening all elementals, I went to explore the serpent shaped island. I kept going down several floors solving some puzzles but leaving some of them unsolved.

Spent some time on the fire elementals room, but when I decided to get back to explore other islands, unfortunalty I was unable to do so, as the return path of the water elementals room is blocked by the unsolved puzzle.

As a consequence, I am stuck on the transition between those two screens of the island. I hope the "exit island" feature update will come soon.

There are two exits for the fire elemental room, NW and NE side. Try the other side?

failing that try using the z key to undo what you did in the room repeatedly. i found that sometimes you can undo the room resetting from you exiting it leaving you in a previous position, it let me get out of a few rooms without using the safety exit more than once.
