Mosquito bug?

On the water island, the red mosquito is starting in the top right room and going left twice, which forces it to enter the "boss" room for lack of a better word, at which point the mosquito is impossible to collect. It doesn't show up in that room (nor any other room).

Seems like this puzzle is randomized, and I got bad luck, my friend was able to collect all of them because none of them entered the "boss" room.

It is possible to get the mosquito if it enters the boss room. This is not a bug.

From what I could tell, the mosquitos reset to their original position after a certain number of screen transitions. I had a tricky one going from the upper left of the map into the 'boss' room, and had to be a little careful determining the best way to get there without 'wasting' screens. Take another look around, you should still be able to do it by leaving the water down and getting to the bottom of the stairs up.

Mine went from the top right to the boss room too. It took me a few tries, but eventually I got it by being fast enough, I guess.
