If you're talking about the island-wide puzzle just before it, then you have to keep careful track of the prerequisites. The solution is a bit more complex than it first appears. I had to go back to them a few times to have all I needed to solve it.
All I want to really know is which puzzles should be solvable to get to six stones on Tidal Reef. If there are any prerequisites, what are they? I get that I could be overlooking something really basic, but I lost interest in exploring and not seeing a way to progress. I don't want to give up on the game, and I loathe looking for solutions to puzzle games. I don't need a solution. I just want to know what puzzles should be possible to solve in my current state. As far as I know, the game lacks this sort of direct feedback.
You don't need a power to break anything for the 6th gem on that island.
Did you already get the rune stone from the goddess (the big blue shard on her screen)?
LOL So, I had not. However, knowing that was what I needed to do and having that peace of mind, I just went and solved that puzzle immediately. For some reason, I previously thought it wouldn't be solvable until you already had six stones and the subsequent activation. Clearly that was a bad assessment on my part. Thank you very much for the reply!
I really am enjoying the game. I'm going to tear up the rest of Tidal Reef now.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that was my problem as well! I explored about everything else I could, had 33 stars and a bunch of other stuff. I just thought that I needed to find the last water gem before I could attempt to solve the puzzle! I feel so free now!
I wonder if something could be done to make it more obvious that you can solve the Rune Stone puzzle without any other tool...
The Stoney [sic] Cliffs should (?) have taught that, as you need the Earth Rune to progress beyond Stoney Cliffs and can't get any other tools first, as far as I am aware.
Correct me if I am mistaken though!
