Graphic corruption

I'm about 85% of the way through the main storyline when the game crashed, when I reloaded it suddenly the main screen is black.. the cockpit and menu's all display completely fine but the 'space' screen and all enemy fighters are just black though the coloured indicators of where they are display fine.

It applies to all my saves.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it's still exactly the same.

Anyone have any ideas?

Nevermind! I fixed the issue by deleting the config file under my documents>ascaron entertainment>darkstar one. I'll leave this up in case anyone else has the same issue.

Yep I just stumped upon this annoying game bug. I just quit game normally and that c**p crashed upon exiting. Next time I started this game everything was black. I changed graphic resolution and it seem to fix this but after changing it back to my monitor native resolution it is black again :/

did you try deleting the config file I mentioned? that's what fixed the game for me, when it crashed that file must have got corrupted somehow

Sounds like it might be something similar. As long as the menus work, try messing with the graphics settings, especially FSAA.
