When I play through the entire game for testing purposes using skip, it still takes me about 3 hours.
Stream playthroughs of the game tend to take about 15 hours per storyline, not including completion of the game, just one path to the end. Those tend to have chat interaction and stuff in them though.
The 35 minute playthroughs are undoubtedly players who achieved the first bad end, which can be obtained fairly quickly. We've been considering putting in a popup or something for players that hit this ending first, since we thought it would be fairly uncommon to get, but actually about 30% of players seem to run into it (most of them do retry and find the intended paths though).
I think it's because we designed the game different than most visual novels out there, and we're basically punishing the shotgun harem approach to dialogue choices. Most players go in trying to date all of the romances at the same time though.
If you do decide to pick it up, let us know what you think!
Thanks so much. I'm surprised someone replied this fast but also a fun surprise that it's you (the developer). I'm glad it's more then 35 minutes, I will most definitely take a look at your game. Thanks again and have a happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate it. 😊
