Knight class Persival is horrible?
Is it just me, or this class is absolutely atrocious?

The mercy card almost never works, and when it does it's only on small enemies, the class buff that gives 2 strength is almost meaningless as it doesn't stack.

and how are you supposed to maintain a ratio of different type of cards in your hand to get the energy and health buff? it's almost impossible with the fact that if you have unused cards at the end of the turn they go to the discard pile and basically ruin the ratio you tried to create.
this also happens with all the curse/status cards you get into your deck in challenges.

I really don't understand this class at all.

All his abilities work on event allies too, I got the dwarf in the chest to accompany to the end of the game.

So Knight really relies on getting set bonuses to be good, his starting ring is horrible there's no doubt about that. I think it's just supposed to help you with the early fights, but even then it only has a % chance to work and doesn't work on most enemies. Even his unique armor set, Knight is good, but there's better regular Set Bonuses you can get during a run. (Elven, Barbed, etc)

His block and attack cards buffing his allies are too weak to make much of a difference during the fight. (Applying Expose is more useful than buffing them. Least that's a 50% dmg increase)

Even all his unlocked Cards via leveling Knight are bad, his best builds don't even use those lol. (A Knight's Promise basically makes the fight a lot harder for such a pathetic reward, random card upgrade, doesn't even allow you to upgrade a card of choice.)

I recommend only playing that class during the Challenge Mode ones that force you to play it to get new permanent unlocks.

For winning with against Mill with Percy, I found Golddigger to be the easiest with the right card combo. It's his main offensive Subclass, all the rest are really defense oriented.

Late on the replies for this but I don't agree. I think you have to pretty hard pivot towards the bandit camp and/OR pick up the golem and then you can also have the mercy ring. The mercy ring works on a surpising amount of enemies but each enemy also has a chance to want to fight to the death which does suck. Still I've had countless good runs with allies and would consider knight my favorite of all the percivals. (I'll edit this with a proper paragraph later but I'll explain in detail why I think it's so solid)
