Can i beat this Lunar Bjorn challenge?
It's left side, 8th from bottom, and last modifier says "At the end of turn, lose 10 health for each [Curse of a Lycan] in the Draw file". I cleared Persival's terrible diff, and trying every Bjorn's challenge in Lunar but stuck in here. Tried and failed several times and stil don't know how to clear this...can i get some advise guys??

Lunar druid isn't hard if you just play your cards right to never end a turn in the beast form, it's very doable.
Cards that draw you more cards and change shape help a lot.

yeah but because of other challenge modifier, when i turn into lycan i get 1 curse card. So i have to avoid TURNING, not only ending a turn with lycann form. And that's what the problem. No matter how i play(aggressive or passive) , halfway in stage1 i have least 4~5+ curse card and very hard to maintain HP. Well maybe i have to get around and reduce fight encounter...i think.

Again high draw helps to burn curses.

ok i'll try :steamsad: thanks for replying.
I don't think the guy understands the challenge you are talking about, noone is disputing that lunar druid isn't hard to play, the issue is the challenge has 3 modifiers that combined are perhaps unbeatable or require perfect RNG.

Entering transformation giving you a curse of the lycan in the discard pile, opening a chest gives a curse of the lycan and every curse of the lycan in the players hand deals 10 damage at the end of turn.

The problem is that you are going to transform at least once in most fights, you might be able to avoid it in first 1 or 2 fights out of the gate against weak solo enemies, and these curses don't go away after the fight, so you get to a point where you start a fight taking an enormous amount of damage or you draw a bunch of curses forcing you to not act, making you take even more damage from not acting.

I have finished all of Percival's challenges and all of Bjorn's except the lunar druid and the spike in difficulty is absurd, to the point I question that devs didn't even plan it out and haphazardly just tossed modifiers together and called it a day.

Same here. Cleared all other bjorn's challenges and trying more and more to lunar challenge, but still don't know how to get through theses curse card (and HP) issue. If there is someone beat this challenge, i really want to know his tactics . It's so hard ;(

Bumping this topic cause I have same issue. Is this challenge even beatable?

Cursed boots makes it trivial. Draw one on drawing a curse. Then the go away and give you a spirit. So the more of the wolf curses the better.

Other than that... yeah, lunar druid isn't great.

I havent gotten to that challenge yet, but maybe aiming for Cursed gear set + companion could help.

I think you guys are missing the point. I and others here beaten game with druid many times. The isssue we have is challange that deals 10 dmg each turn per curse in draw pile. After 1st elite fight you have 5-6 curses in deck guaranteed, unlucky draw and you take 60 dmg turn 1 and 2.

edit: just to clarify in challenge you get curse right away on transformation, each time you open chest and at the end of turn in lycan form. You cant avoid it.

Yea I haven't attempted that Challenge yet, but seems like stacking Purifcation Potions and there's some trinkets that remove all curses/status each turn would be the way to combat it. As well as visiting shops to delete curses. I haven't messed with Lunar much as it seemed really buggy for me last time I attempted it (just Discarding Initiative was giving me 2 Curse cards permanently, that's only supposed to happen when playing it)

Seems like that challenge would be super RNG dependent though, most challenge runs don't have tons of shops and force chests on you to get those 2 curse cards no matter what.

Choosing the Randomize your deck options could help as well, but yet again RNG dependent.

Immunity stacking could work as well I assume it stops the HP damage, so if you can get Armor of Invincibility, you ignore the damage for the first turns, but you still need to get those curses out of your deck to reduce bloat. High Balm could try to stop the bleeding as well, but still can't get too nutty with how many curses are in the deck

This challenge is an obvious mistake by the developers, I somehow got through it and the following challenges in this challenge are much easier (you don't get a curse when transforming).

Regarding strategy, I just replayed the battles a lot and generally tried to choose easier routes. I bought literally every potion in the stores and squeezed the most out of them.
Most importantly, if transformation is unavoidable, you should either get out of it immediately in the same turn or let yourself be transformed by your opponent, because that way you don't get an extra curse at the end of the turn.

How? How in the hell did you do it? I can't even leave the first zone. I don't believe you

The first Lunar challenge is beyond absurd.

I've completed all of Vanadis challenges and all of Bjorn challenges except the lunar druid branch, and indeed this particular challenge is an insane difficulty spike, rng wise. The only strategy I can think of is to reroll act 1 until I get the event with wounded bandit so I can take his cursed boots, but even with that one unlucky draw is likely enough to end your life, and you still have to get a build going to actually win.

I'll try this once or twice I guess, then hopefully wait for a correction on this one.

EDIT : I was able to get to act 2 with these boots, but it's almost impossible to get less than 1 curse per encounter, and with the number of encounters, even with taking any opportunity to remove curses from my deck it ended up being too much by the middle of act 2 :'(. I guess it is somehow doable, but tha amount of luck involved is kind of bonkers.
