How to Bjorn?
First off, I've beaten Millenis with Percival, and completed most of his challenges. But Bjorn is very, very different. Almost no blocks, no cards giving dodge (or at least not yet found them) and so any reasonable enemy becomes a problem, especially several in a row. For example, a gate guy with spikes. How to beat him? Do I have counterplay for spikes? How to beat enemies before they start 25x4 kind of attacks? How to defend? What am I missing?

EDIT: just died of Rot and having full hands of all-time multiplying Lycan curses. Not getting the point.

Bjorn is my favorite character to play, hopefully I can help,

Overview
Unlike Percival's block, Bjorn is about ending the fights fast with unga bunga damage. Spikes? Hit harder so you take less spike damage. Enemies scaling? Kill them before they do. Blight? Encounters don't last long, blight damage should be negligible.

Gameplan
Before the first deck shuffle, stay in wolf form as long as possible. With his axe, he should be at 10-15 Strength by the time the deck shuffle. This is where the fun begins. After the shuffle, keep track of the draw pile. If there are Scourges around, aim to exit wolf form in the same turn as when you enter. Shapeshift and Beast cards will help here. Once the Scourges are gone, you can go back to stacking Strength. Repeat until the enemy dies. Aim to have at most 2-3 Curses in the deck.

Cards
Draw cards are insta-picks, with more draws you can get to the blue healing cards more often, also more options to return to elf form. Upgrade his instinctive attacks, they give defensive options in the form of healing and Spirit. I don't understand Ferocious cards.

Gear
His starter axe gives crazy scaling. Sword of Weakness is good for damage mitigation. Spirit Cap can transfer some of those attacks into defense. His Class items are gameplay-defining, which means routing to Lycan or Alpha Wolf. Curse set and Scavenger in the Bog are also great options to play around his Curses.

If you are the class that only gives you the curse cards rather than the status ones first, I would recommend you go west and get the cursed sword. If you can get the boots that draw and discard on burn you are going to be doing very well for yourself, just get as much card draw as possible.

If you are playing classess giving you curses in the deck (espessially Lunar Druid) I would recomend visiting wounded bandit event. If you search him (IIRC several visits required for the option) - you would find cursed boots, and playing Bjorn after would be a walk in the park.

Yeah the fact that cursed boots and ghoul finger are both great items for bjorn and a 100% drop from events makes him very consistent.
also you have like a 90+% chance of getting more curse gear in the swamp anyway if you visit the shop so that makes it even more consistent.
then you can just ignore curses and really leverage that +5str/turn.

He's tough to play. Very nuanced, and not sure if fun or not.
