Frontier - Elven and Thundering Mountain
Rotten Bog - Cursed and Crimson
Crimson Steppes - Crimson Steppes and Spiked
Northwall - Demonic and Fire Brotherhood
Besides that, a few items have guarenteed drops, and a few armor set trinkets/trophies are hidden behind particular encounters
Cursed - The sword can be found in the frontier in it's own event, and you can get cursed boots from the dying bandit.
Fire Brotherhood - A "inscribed" version of the amulet, armor, mace, and shield can be found through two encounters in the bog and two encounters on the left side of northwall.
The Archdruid Frontier boss drops an Elf amulet
Anthony drops a Crimson trinket in the bog
The dwarves on goats drop a Thundering Mountain trinket
The minor illusion demon (right side Northwall) drops a demonic trinket
The spearwielding orc on the right of the steppes has a steppes trinket
Either fight with the ritualist (cannibal village or church) drops a cursed trinket
One of the worm fights drops a spiked trinket, I forget which
Other than that, yeah you just have to get lucky to see all the equipment in a set. I've done dozens of runs and I've only managed to have a full set of most armors once, and it's because I was specifically hunting them for the achievement. The personal armors for each character's class 3 are pretty consistent, and elven stuff seems to be the easiest to full set.
It would be nice if the game was a little more consistent in this area. Many runs struggle to even find 3 items of the same set. Giving us the ability to re-roll shops for the cost of some gold would likely help a lot.
