Why isn't Sacred Gold part of the Sacred Collection? Is Sacred 2 Gold complete?

Hi. Why isn't Sacred 1 (http://store.steampowered.com/app/12320/?snr=1_7_15__13) part of the Sacred Franchise Pack (http://store.steampowered.com/sub/29179/) that's on 75% off sale at the moment?

Also, will Sacred 2 have any more new expansions? Or is Sacred 2 Gold the final compilation of all Sacred 2 games?

Because the first Sacred is the best one out of the series and flat out superior to pretty much everything around. Or so i would suspect. I too was very disapointet to not have it for -75%.

I highly recommend to look for the community patch of Sacred 2 or else its too buggy and the camera mod. The community patch also added a few quests. Sacred 2 will not get any additional content because its very old and the devs are bankrupt and since long gone.

Deep Silver purchased the Sacred franchise. I can only assume it also has all the assets and source for the game. It's really up to them to fix any issues now. It really annoys me when a company purchases a franchise, sells it to make money but then puts their hands up in the air when it comes to support for a broken product. If they are generating revenue hey should be giving support.

And the reason Sacred Gold is not part of the Sacred bundle is that it is published by Strategy First, while the latest Sacred games are published by the now owner of the IP Deep Silver. I assume it's all legal mumbo jumbo where again the end users loose out

yea that sounds believable. Wouldn't blame them though for no longer supporting Sacred 2. It would probably not pay out and tbh there aren't many left who'd play it. As said the community patch has done some fine work and without the physx effects enabled its actually very stable atleast for me.

No Sacred 2 isn't going to be releasing any expansions because they are making & releasing Sacred 3.

If they were to make an expansion it would be for their new side-scrolling multiplayer brawler "Sacred: Citadel" .
